Mari was born in a small town in Connecicut where she lived until she was 13. AT that time, her father got a job overseas and the family moved to London where she has lived ever since. She worked as a barmaid while she was a Uni student and it was during this time she met and had a tumultuous affair with Richard Pitt. The affair yielded a son - jeremy_pitt - who Richard convinced her to give up and let him raise. Lacking the resources to raise a child on her own, she caved under his pressure and agreed to the arrangement and didn't see either of them until just recently when she ran into Richard at Hogwarts.

Soon after Jeremy was born, Mari met and quickly married Anthony Sawyer. She was pregnant again not long after Jeremy was born and she and Tony were married. That child is bryantsawyer. She had three other children with Tony - 15 year old Sammy, 11 year old precociousizzy, and 8 year old Kenny.

For her part, she did love Tony at first, but Tony was too in love with himself and his career to ever truly return the sentiment. She's long since fell out of love with him, but she stayed for her children, to give them a better life. That is, until Tony died unexpectedly. It took some time, but she grew closer to Richard again and found herself in a relationship with him. While their prior tryst was entirely physical, Mari has fallen in love with the better man Richard has become and now she can't imagine her life without him.

Mari has a rather lucrative career as a freelance photographer, though she's taken quite a bit of time off since Tony's death. She loves her job, especially for all the traveling it allows her to do. She is also trying to rebuild a relationship with her son Jeremy, who she has recently reunited with.

Academics: Mari was an average student, excellent in her art and english classes. She also did quite well in history, but her math and science skills left quite a bit to be desired. She went to Uni after high school and majored in art photography where she graduated with a 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

Social Life: Spunky and outgoing, Mari has always had plenty of friends. She had her share of relationships before settling down with Tony, including a short fling with richard_pitt, which resulted in their firstborn son, Jeremy.

Strengths/Skills: Personality wise, Mari is intelligent and creative. She's a skilled artist and photographer and a great mother. Her children is the most important thing in the world to her and she would die rather than see them hurt. She's not afraid to take risks, especially for her kids or her career.

Weaknesses: She is absolutely impulsive. She jumps into things without thinking a lot of the times and even when she does think, she doesn't always let the possible consequences stop her. She's stubborn and moody and quick to anger and she can really hold a grudge.
